Research into the fundamental principles of the prediction-based traffic-control for mobile ad-hoc networks

The goal of the project is to gain new knowledge on the use of different prediction algorithms to control traffic-flows in Mobile Ad-hoc NETworks (MANET) and experimentally evaluate the basic principles proposed. During the design of these principles also the requirements for high efficiency and Quality-of-Service (QoS) support will be reflected. The evaluation will be realized by mathematical modelling and event-based simulations.

Research of mechanisms for improving access to higher quality services in new generation data networks

The goal of the project is to investigate the possibilities of interactions between the technology of Differentiated Services and end-user services. To achieve this goal a method will be designed and evaluated that allows a more efficient and economic operation of network services in modern QoS-aware DiffServ-based communication network.
